I'm currently platform editor, visual storytelling at The Wall Street Journal, where I strategize and build content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat and more.
Before that, I was distribution editor at Insider, where I produced the top-performing Twitter thread for nine out of 12 months in 2021, and helped increase visits to our app by 548% in nine months. I hired, onboarded and mentored junior staff members, fostering their development in journalism, social media and beyond.
At NowThis, I was a founding editor of the brand's first TikTok account, growing it to 1.4M followers in seven months. Digiday interviewed me about NowThis' unprecedented success on TikTok and our work was featured on CNN.com. Prior to that, I helped double NowThis' already substantial audience on Snapchat Discover.
As an independent content creator, I built a personal social media following of over 50,000 in four months and drew more than 500,000 views to my YouTube channel in a single month.
Before that, I contributed to The Daily Beast, The Verge and Gizmodo as a freelance journalist. My original reporting on internet culture and politics was cited in The New York Times and The Washington Post.
I am originally from Ireland, where I was a reporter for the nation's best-selling newspaper, the Irish Independent. I graduated with a Master's in Journalism from Dublin City University, where I was awarded the Veronica Guerin Memorial Scholarship.
